over a warehouse fire in sonoma county. flames broke out 9:16 this morning at the coverer of highway 116 and morris the building is under construction. investigators he will us the cause may be related to the construction onsite. work cutting steel before the fire began. >> you can see it is mostly a smokey scene now this building is used to process apples from local farms. there's a "sig alert" in effect for highway 12, closed in both directions from morris to petaluma avenue because of this fire. no injuries are reported. again, this fire burning now appears to be mostly out just smokey corner of highway 116 and morris. officials say avoid the area. highway fell from of -- highway 12 closed in both directions. good morning i'm kristen sze. and i'm cheryl jennings. in san jose investigators are getting ready to look at tapes

to see who started a two fires at evergreen valley high one in a dumpster the other outside the library. >> minor to moderate damage. the library was not affected the fire did not get in the building. only exterior damage to the school. >> the high school is closed for summer break. firefighters had trouble getting to the fire because there was no direct access. investigators say somebody had to climb over the fence to start those fires which are considered suspicious. latest jobs report out results dismal. president obama says the economy is not creating jobs as fast as we want but we will come back stronger. labor department says employers created 69,000 jobs in may the fewest in a year. unemployment rate increased to 8.2% nationwide. the report was weaker than expected. president obama and republicans immediately ceased on the results. -- seized on the results.

prostitution even involving children. katie marzullo is live in oakland with details. >> reporter: the two hotels the national lodge on international boulevard as well as the economy inn on east 12th street both have to close in two months by july 31st. they have to be closed for one year, because of all the illegal activity that has been happening on their premises for several years. the neighborhood surrounding the national lodge and economy inn are full of graffiti and prostitution. >> when i dropped my son off he would say mommy why is it so cold and they are dressed like that? >> reporter: a judge has ruled to shut them down. >> thank god. our prayers have been answered. and i'm glad. >> reporter: the economy inn was declared a public nuisance in 2005. several cases of rape and kidnapping there, sometimes involving young girls. both hotels are to spend the

year making improvements and coming up with a better business plan. neither owner was available for comment this morning. i'm katie with channel 7, is the owner here? >> we will not allow prostitution in our communities and businesses to have a business model that profits from the human suffering and human trafficking. >> reporter: the city attorney who you just heard from there, says the next step is july 3rd, when the hotel owners will go to court and levied for fines, july 31st they will shutdown they can appeal but that is not likely. after the one year closure the properties will be turned back over to the owners. katie marzullo abc7 news. 13 california hospitals, including four in the bay area are being fined for none compliance that caused or likely to cause -- serious injury or to patients. fines come under the title of administrative penalties.

check this out. in bakersfield the young bear startled more than 1,000 attending a middle school graduation ceremony yesterday. first the 125 pound black bear ran through an elementary school playground where students and parents were gathered for a party. then headed next door past the middle school separated by a fence from the graduation. >> the parents that were
